Wednesday 16/8/23

Check out of the hotel, visit the British Cemetery at Bayeux  this will only take 20 mins as its very close to our hotel, then ride to the Hotel Compiegne.  The rooms are about 85 Euros . This ride is about 170 miles and I'll break this up with comfort breaks and lunch so we should not be riding for more than an hour or 50-60 miles at a time.  If we arrive early afternoon we could visit the Armistice Museum or leave it till the morning, Will see on the day peoples opinion.

Thursday 17/8/23

Visit the Compiegne Memorial Grounds and Museum. This is where the Germans signed their surrender of WW1 1918 and in 1940 Hitler used the same railway carriage for the French to sign their surrender of WW2.

Leave here and ride 120 miles to visit the museum Le Blockhaus. Here you will see both V1 & V 2 flying bombs .

Make our way to catch the return Eurostar and home.

Kick stands up each morning for 09.30 and as we are visiting museums with no set time frame I’ll advise daily a time for the next part of our adventure.

You are all freely to add hotels to your Sat Nav’s but its my route we will be following regardless of what your sat nav advises you so please bear this in mind each ride.

I hope you all enjoy these places and look forward to this trip
