Lasham Airfield Lasham, Alton GU34 5SP is the destination.
We shall meet at Newlands Corner at 10.30 am for kickstands up at 11.00 and I shall meander through the roads of Surrey and Hampshire to our destination.
I think the route will be just over an hour and a half and probably 40 miles.
It reminds me of returning to Bisley somewhat dated but clean and with good food. It has a fantastic WWII history and Dan Air used it till 1976. You would never believe how many gliders there are now and if anyone fancied it there’s a tour at 2pm, see below.
