Ride To The Wall 2024
Saturday 5 October
This is your chance to join thousands of other motorcyclists as an act of remembrance at the National Memorial Arboretum. The NMA is a moving garden of remembrance for all people of the UK and includes those such as nurses, firemen, postmen, stillborn children, 9/11 victims, road crash victims as well as soldiers, sailors and airmen who died in service since the 2nd World War; for more info take a look at www.thenma.org.uk.You will receive a year bar and your name can also be added to the scroll of attendance, recognising the contribution you have made and the pride and respect that you show for the sacrifice made by those with their names on the Armed Forces Memorial. You may also add a name of your choice to the scroll of remembrance.
There is no official ride to this event but you could use our Face Book page to ask who else is coming.
If you prefer you could have an early start from home on the Saturday morning and following the Service of Remembrance return home.
If you would like to stay overnight on the Friday night before or the Saturday night we recommend the Millers Hotel by Greene King Inns, Twycross Rd, Sibson, CV13 6LB. Phone: 01827 880223. £90 per night plus £10 per breakfast.
The RTTW Blessing
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face; the rains fall soft upon the roads behind you.
May you be kept safe through rolling hills, twisting turns, from oil, gravel and dim-witted drivers and, until we meet again, may the blessing of the triune God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit
Be upon You, and those whom you love
Now and always
Amen
